My Choice for Scrapaddictes

15 May 2015

Hello there. I hope you are all enjoying Spring. Today’s post is a quick layout I made about me. With the end of the school year nearing, I am spending quite a bit of time getting my students ready for their exams so scrapbooking has been neglected a bit. I still need to be creative but don’t have a lot of time so the layouts I’m making are done in about 20-30 minutes. For this layout I used a lot of Crate Paper supplies and I made it really girly. I also used my new doily die from: docrafts (xcut).
https://docrafts.com/Products/xcut/dies-vintage-notes-doily/89131
I cut it with my BigShotPlus. It cuts like a gem.

To show the whole process I made a video. I hope you’ll enjoy it.

Scrapaddictes: Washi tape challenge

4 May 2015

This month our challenge at Scrapaddictes is washi tape. This is the layout I came up with. I kept it very simple and worked with vertical and horizontal lines. I worked with two clusters: one with the photo and the other with embellishment placing the title between them both. The third element to complete the visual triangle is a chipboard strip in gold. To add detail I embossed the cardstock using my BIGSHOTPLUS and a large A4 embossing folder.

That lovely gold badge is from Scrapbuttons (click here for linkhttp://micowelshop.multiclic2.fr/fr/exclusivite-et-nouveaute-printemps-2015/199-pochette-4-badges-25mm-xoxo.html).

On Wednesday I got to do a fun demo near Brussels showcasing the new BIGSHOT PLUS machine. I LOVE IT. It is quite a bit larger than the previous model.

  • 1 Textured Impressions Plus Embossing Folder (Dots)

  • The machine
  • Standard Cutting Pads
  • the Big Shot Plus Platform

Monumental Scrap

9 April 2015

I love scrapbooking. I LOVE being creative. I LOVE taking photos of my family and my life. I LOVE documenting. This hobby has brought me so much joy, love and passion and even after 15 years I still enjoy it immensely. Today VERSION SCRAP opens its doors. It is a scrapbooking convention is Paris and it'll be the third time I'm going. I'll be doing some make&take projects in the Esprit Scrapbooking booth and will also be taking some classes.
This year I was asked to participate in Monumental Scrap which is scrapbooking but on a much bigger scale. I went a little crazy and wanted to work with birch branches and this is what I made. It wasn't that hard to created and the most time consuming part was the knotting the rope. I love the transfers onto the fabric and the embroidery hoops give it so much flow. Once it is back home it'll go onto the hall wall. I am really chuffed how it turned out.

From last year

8 April 2015

I haven't got a lot of time today as I still have to pack for my trip to Paris. I'll be at Version Scrap for 4 days.
These layouts were made last year for Esprit Scrapbooking. The article I wrote was about using the edges of a layout.

I'll be posting lots of photos on my instagram account about Paris & Version Scrap. I'd love if you stop by.
